Milk Stork Pump & Tote provides 60 hours of refrigeration and offer parents a convenient way to carry their milk home with them on a long flight or road trip. They’re also great for weekend travel, when a parent might otherwise arrive home before their shipped cooler.

Milk Stork Pump & Tote coolers are compliant with domestic TSA carry-on regulations and complete with an easy-to-activate, push-button cooler, and tote bag included.

It is perfectly safe to allow TSA to briefly open the cooler for inspection and will not compromise the integrity of the cooler.  We do not recommend opening the cooler to add freshly expressed milk.  If you need to store fresh milk, we recommend ordering the the Milk Cubby.

Pump & Totes are available in two sizes (depending on inventory):

  • 34oz – 6 breast milk storage bags
  • 72oz -12 breast milk storage bags

Dimensions & Weight:

  • 34oz – 12x8x5 – 6.4lbs (when full)
  • 72oz – 12x8x8 – 9.6lbs (when full)

Please note, the 72oz Pump & Tote cooler will fit sideways into your tote bag. As long as your bags and cooler are sealed properly, this is normal and will not affect your milk.

The Milk Stork Pump & Ship enables parents to safely and securely package milk in a refrigerated container and ship to your home or to a destination of your choosing.

The Pump & Ship is available in three sizes:

  • 34oz
  • 72oz
  • 108oz

Receiving Your Milk Stork Order:

  • Our warehouse will ship for your order to arrive on or before your Required Delivery Date.
  • If applicable, inform your hotel/destination of your Milk Stork order so they will accept it on your behalf.

Packing Your Cooler:

  • Packing instructions can be found here.

Shipping Your Milk Home:

  • FedEx pick-up for your shipment of milk must be coordinated directly by you. FedEx-approved shipping locations and their last cut-off times can be found here. ⚠️Whenever possible, it is highly recommended to use an actual FedEx Office Print & Ship Center or FedEx Ship Center rather than a 3rd party “authorized location”.  If you would like to schedule a FedEx pick-up, instructions can be found here.
  • If you are staying at a hotel and wish to have them help you coordinate your outbound shipment of milk be sure to confirm they handle FedEx Express shipments, what time pick up occurs, and who the package needs to be left with for pick up.
  • FedEx does not pick up or deliver on Sunday. Shipments tendered on Saturday will deliver Monday. Shipments tendered to FedEx on a Sunday will deliver Tuesday. Please note, that addresses in Hawaii, Alaska, and rural locations may not allow for Saturday delivery and may experience longer transit times. Weather can adversely affect scheduled delivery estimates. Milk Stork cannot control these interruptions.
  • All FedEx Priority Overnight labels for your shipments will indicate “Saturday” above the words Priority Overnight. These labels provide next-day delivery Monday – Friday, as well as ensure that packages shipped on Friday will arrive on Saturday.
  • A signature is not required for your milk shipment home, however, if the FedEx driver feels it is unsafe to leave the package, they will not leave it at your door.  We recommend signing up for FedEx Delivery Manager.
  • If possible, we recommend not shipping multiple coolers on the same day.

The Milk Stork Pump & Check enables parents to check their breast milk as luggage when traveling.

The Pump & Check is a 108 oz. cooler (typically the equivalent of a three-to-five day supply of breast milk) and provides minimum of 90 hours of refrigeration from activation. Exterior dimensions are 12” x 8” x 10” and the cooler weighs 16 lbs. when full.

This cooler kit includes:

  • Breast milk storage bags
  • Circular seals to secure the exterior of the cooler*
  • Tamper proof stickers to secure each individual breast milk storage bag
  • Travel bag
  • Luggage tag

*Please note exterior seals may be broken and the contents of the cooler may be inspected by airport security. Tamper seals are provided for individual breast milk storage bags. Please contact your airline to determine if there is a fee for checked bags.

We like to let all parents know that TSA is very likely to do special inspections on the coolers – specifically the cooling units inside – since they don’t see them every day and might be curious. The cooling units use evaporation technology and don’t contain any hazardous materials like dry ice – which is usually their main concern.

Be prepared and allow extra time for TSA inspection. Just know that you are not required to put your breast milk through the X-ray machine, but you and your luggage will be subject to additional screening.

BEFORE YOU TRAVEL:

Parents can contact TSA Cares to inform TSA that they will be traveling with breast milk and a Milk Stork cooler.  A  specially trained representative provides information about screening that is relevant to the travelers’ specific disability or medical condition (i.e. transporting breast milk).

Parents can also download and print a TSA notification card to inform the screening agent that they are traveling with breast milk.

AT THE AIRPORT:

Should a TSA Agent inform a parent that the cooler and/or breast milk is not permitted through screening, it is recommended to request a Supervisory TSA Officer and/or Passenger Support Specialist for assistance with getting through security.  Milk Stork coolers can and should be allowed through TSA.
